The Bethlehem Area School District (BASD) is the sixth largest school district in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania with an enrollment of approximately 14,000 students.

​

Bethlehem Area School District is the founding SEG of Bethlehem 1st Federal Credit Union.  In 1935, a group of teachers started the credit union in a Liberty High School classroom and at that time, it was called Bethlehem Teachers Federal Credit Union.

​

Employees and family members of Bethlehem Area School District make up the largest percentage of Bethlehem 1st FCU’s membership.
